- information collected by third-party websites or social media you reach by navigating from links on our Sites.
3. Information Collection, Use, and Disclosure
Havenside obtains information voluntarily from online visitors to:
- fulfill online requests;
- improve our sites;
- improve our marketing campaigns;
- facilitate delivery of our services;
- comply with applicable laws and regulations or law enforcement requirements.
Havenside will take reasonable steps to protect the integrity and confidentiality of Personally Identifiable Information which has been obtained through our Sites. Havenside will only disclose Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with the law and will only be used for the purpose it was collected. Information collected voluntarily from visitors of our Sites may be shared with Havenside Affiliates, including, without limitation, Omicelo Investments LLC, Havenside’s current and future investors, and Business Partners, such as third-party marketing companies with whom we work, and use to develop or improve our programs and services. Optional analytics technologies described in the section below, “How We Use Cookies, Pixels and other Tracking Technologies,” may collect Internet Usage Data if you choose to allow them.
We may collect the following types of information from our website visitors:
- Details of your visits to our Sites and the resources that you access, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, including your IP address, the date and time you accessed or left our Sites, and which pages you viewed. As noted above, some parts of our Sites use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect this information about your general internet usage. See section below, “How We Use Cookies, Pixels and other Tracking Technologies,” to learn more.
- Information that you provide directly to us by filling in forms on our Sites, such as your name, e-mail address, telephone number, and types of services requested.
We do not request information that is considered sensitive personal information under the laws of some states (“Sensitive Information”). We ask that you not send or disclose any Sensitive Information to Havenside. HAVENSIDE DOES NOT COLLECT PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION AS THAT TERM IS DEFINED BY THE HEALTH INSURANCE PORTABILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACT. DO NOT VOLUNTEER ANY PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION TO US.
We use a third-party recruitment service, JazzHR by Employ, to manage our job openings and applicant data. When you submit an application or resume through our embedded job board, your personal information is received, processed, and stored by JazzHR. For details about Employ's privacy practices and candidate data, review the Employ Privacy Center.
By submitting a telephone number or e-mail address to Havenside and voluntarily opting-in to our offers to provide offers and/or solicitations, you agree that a representative of Havenside, or a third-party acting on our behalf, can contact you at the e-mail address or phone number you provide.
In order to provide you with timely, efficient service in a cost-effective manner, information you provide to Havenside may be transferred to the appropriate Havenside authorized agent(s) who require access to the information for business purposes so they can deliver the service or information you requested.
SMS consent and phone numbers collected for SMS communication purposes will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
4. Automated Online Data Collection
Data about your device and online activities is collected automatically when you visit our Sites, including:
- When you access our Sites, our servers and service providers may collect your IP address, browser and operating-system information, access times, requested pages, and approximate location inferred from your IP address.
- If you choose Performance & Analytics in our Cookie Preferences, Google Analytics collects Internet Usage Data through cookies and similar browser technologies. Optional analytics remains off until you make that choice. For more information about our browser storage and how to change your choice, see “How We Use Cookies, Pixels and other Tracking Technologies” below.
5. Forms
We may request Personally Identifiable Information through the following forms and features on our Sites:
- contact, callback, and quote requests, including files you voluntarily attach;
- service-plan and out-of-area waitlists;
- the Financing 101 guide request;
- wishlist save, share, and quote features, including selected services and recipient details you provide; and
- job applications submitted through JazzHR by Employ.
Depending on the feature, this information may include your name, e-mail address, telephone number, ZIP code, service interests, message, selected services, referral or recipient information, and technical request data such as IP address. Please provide another person's contact information only when you are authorized to do so.
When a form offers optional e-mail marketing or SMS choices, we record the choice you make, the date and time, the form source, and related technical request data so we can document and honor your communication preferences. Leaving an optional marketing box unchecked does not withdraw permission you previously gave; use the unsubscribe link in a marketing e-mail or contact us to withdraw that permission.
6. Third-Party Website Links
Where appropriate, relevant internet links are provided for third-parties, Havenside Affiliates, and/or Business Partners. Havenside is not responsible for the privacy practices, availability, accuracy, or content of any website not owned or operated by Havenside. These links are provided to our online visitors as a convenient way to access helpful resources. A link to another website does not imply an endorsement by Havenside or a representation that such third-party site is safe. Links to external websites will be evaluated periodically for appropriateness and can be removed at any time. We encourage online visitors to read the privacy statements of any third-party websites they may visit. Havenside does not accept any responsibility or liability for such third-party websites' policies whatsoever as we have no control over them.
7. How We Use Cookies, Pixels and other Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small text values stored by your browser. Our Sites also use local browser storage for preferences. Some storage is necessary to provide the site, while optional analytics storage is used only after you make a choice in Cookie Preferences.
Strictly necessary storage may include the secure hs_session session cookie, the secure hs_wishlist cookie that connects your browser to saved service selections, and local settings that remember cookie choices, accessibility preferences, and whether introductory interface messages have been shown. These values support requested features and site security; they are not used to load analytics or advertising.
If you allow Performance & Analytics, we load Google Analytics. Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga to measure visits and interactions. We use this information to understand site usage and improve content and functionality. If you do not allow this category, the Google Analytics script is not loaded. If you later withdraw consent, the Sites signal denied analytics storage and attempt to remove Google Analytics cookies accessible to the Sites.
At the date shown below, the Sites do not load a separate marketing or retargeting script. If you allow both Performance & Analytics and Marketing & Retargeting, the Google tag receives consent signals that permit advertising storage, user-data use, and ad personalization according to your choice and Google's configuration. The Marketing & Retargeting preference will also control any future optional advertising integration. We will update this Privacy Policy when our practices materially change.
You can choose “Use Necessary Only,” “Accept All,” or configure categories in Cookie Preferences. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the site footer. Preferences are saved to the browser and device you use, so you may need to repeat your choice on other browsers or devices.
Most internet browsers also let you block or restrict cookies. Blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent session, wishlist, accessibility, or preference features from working correctly. You may also use the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) WebChoices Tool to manage participating third-party advertising choices.
We are not responsible for the effectiveness or compliance of third-party opt-out mechanisms or programs. Please note that if you delete your cookies or upgrade your browser after having opted out, you will need to opt out again. Your opt-out is specific to the browser you are using and the device from which you access the Sites. Therefore, if you use multiple browsers or devices you will need to opt out on each browser or device. You can access the information on our Sites without enabling cookies in your browser, but disabling cookies may result in a diminished ability to take advantage of the services and related informational content on our Sites.
If you allow optional analytics, Google Analytics may process pages visited, access times, visit duration, referral information, IP address, browser information, and device identifiers in accordance with your choice and Google's services.
We do not use flash cookies on our Sites.
Some e-mail communications may include remotely loaded images or similar technologies that can indicate whether a message was opened. You can restrict external images through your e-mail application or privacy settings.
For more information about how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative's ("NAI") educational page.
You can opt out of specific third-party targeted advertising by visiting the settings pages of those third-parties, such as:
8. Data Retention
We will retain Personally Identifiable Information for the period necessary to provide our Services or fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as otherwise required by our contracts or by law.
9. Your Marketing Communications Choices
You can opt-out of receiving e-mail marketing communications from us by following the "unsubscribe" instructions included in each of our e-mail marketing communications. You can also unsubscribe by contacting us using the "Contact Us" on our Sites or contacting us as explained in the section "How to Contact Us." We will need to know the name and email address that you want us to remove from our marketing database and add to our 'Do Not Contact' list. It may take up to ten days to process your request to unsubscribe from e-mail marketing messages. If you unsubscribe from marketing messages, we may still send e-mails to you that involve your orders or responses to your questions.
If you previously gave us permission to send recurring automated promotional and personalized marketing communications to you by text message, you can withdraw that consent at any time by replying STOP to our text message. It may take up to seven days to process your request to STOP text marketing messages.
10. Security
To secure your information, we have put in place commercially suitable administrative, physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity and availability of your Personally Identifiable Information appropriate to the nature of the Personally Identifiable Information we collect. Nonetheless, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically on our Sites, and transmission of such data is entirely at your own risk.
11. Phishing Scam Awareness
Phishing is a technique used by online thieves to try to get you to disclose your Personally Identifiable Information under false pretenses. Phishing scams begin with email messages that appear to come from popular websites or websites that you trust. These messages may include logos similar to your bank or credit card company's logos. If you get an email message asking for Personally Identifiable Information, do not reply or click on the link in the message.
Havenside will never request an online visitor to provide personal, health or financial information by email. Please notify us immediately if you receive an email claiming to be from Havenside requesting personal, health or financial information.
Additional tips and resources about protecting yourself online can be found within the AARP Cyber Safety Handbook (PDF) or the OnGuardOnline website. The handbook also has a number of useful tips regarding shopping safely on the Internet, handling junk email and protecting your computer.
